A program organized by Pairavi Book House Pvt. Ltd. launched researcher Roshan Kumar Jha’s book, ‘History of Simraungadh Connected to Nepal Mandal’. The work focuses on Nepal’s historic city of Simraungadh and its relationship with Nepal Mandal.
Nepal Academy Vice-Chancellor Bhupal Rai called for rigorous study and a renewed reading of history, urging deeper research on the ties between Simraungadh and Nepal Mandal. He stated that governments may change, but history does not, adding that understanding Simraungadh’s depth requires further exploration, including the interaction between the Kirat civilization and Nepal Mandal.
Jha also remarked that Nepal Mandal has yet to accept Simraungadh to the necessary historical and cultural extent. He said Nepal can be represented properly only when history is written well, adding that rewriting parts of national history is necessary where appropriate.
Author Roshan Kumar Jha shared the inspiration, purpose, and research process behind the book. He noted that the region’s historical significance is still not fully understood and said the work aims to illuminate new facets of the historical relationship between Nepal Mandal and Simraungadh.
